Project Description
This is a replacement for the standard Windows Explorer with more features for more convenience. One of that is Tabs, Ribbon interface, additional conditional tabs and so on!
This Project is designed for use with Windows 7 (On Older Operating systems it
WILL NOT work).
On x64 systems for now it working but a bit slow due to that the most dlls are x32!
The main goals of this project are:
- Adding Ribbon Control UI like in Windows 8 (Implemented)
- Adding tab functionality together with use of standard explorer browser control (Implemented)
- Adding additional features like:
- Changing Library icons (conditional tab for Libraries) (Implemented)
- File operation with files and folders(Implemented)
- Synchronized command promt
- Change of folder icons (conditional tab for folders)
- Extended Jump list support (Windows 7)(Implemented)
- Extended search conditional tab like extended search pane in Vista (Windows 7)(In progress. Most of them implemented)

The following languages are currently supported as of writing: Bulgarian, Croatian, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Turkish.
"Unofficial" Source Code Builds
JaykeBird (Jayke R. Huempfner) made a page in which you can find newer versions of BetterExplorer built from the source code. These builds contain the newest features and fixes, but are not releases, so it can be risky to try these builds.

For all that encounter problems (crashes, Exceptions and so on) during usage of Better Explorer! Please when you report problems attach the log file (located in [Better Explorer install dir]\Log.txt
). Without it we cant help you to solve your problem! Thanks!

I have posted a new page detailing a new little trick that I found! :D It will add an "Open in BetterExplorer" option to Windows Explorer, allowing you to right-click a folder or library and open them in BetterExplorer (a bit obvious, no? Lol). See this

Well the things got better :)
Now i am making the new version of Better explorer that is kind of similar with Explorer in Windows 8 but with tabs.
